SURGICAL: Aesthetic Vaginal Surgery

Every woman wants to know that she has a tight and attractive vagina. This knowledge can boost her performance in the bedroom and increase her overall self-confidence. There are some women, however, who either have a damaged or non-existent vaginal canal or vulvo-vagina structure due to congenital disease, childbirth, or physical trauma.
A new cosmetic surgery trend has evolved to help correct this issue. The procedure is called aesthetic vaginal surgery. Aesthetic vaginal surgery improves the vagina’s appearance and function by resurfacing and tightening its tissues. The result is strengthened vulvo-vaginal function and firmly reshaping the vagina’s tissue for a youthful appearance.

Two distinct procedures are usually carried out during an aesthetic vaginal surgery: a labiaplasty and a vaginoplasty. Labiaplasty is a procedure that changes the appearance of the inner and outer labia. It is usually done by people with an absent vaginal passage (vaginal atresia), poorly formed uterus and fallopian tubes (müllerian agenesis), hermaphrodite features (both male and female organs present), or a torn or stretched inner labia. Vaginoplasty tightens the vulvo-vaginal structures and vaginal canal. It is usually done by the same types of people who sign up to do an aesthetic vaginal surgery.

NON-SURGICAL: ThermiVa®

Dr. Tieu is very excited to offer a new and innovative procedure for my patients. ThermiVa is a non-surgical vaginal tightening system. It generates tolerable heat via radio-frequency which stimulates collagen growth in the treated areas.

The popularity of ThermiVa is driven by its effectiveness and no recovery period. Because it is not surgical, there is no cutting or sutures or discharge and therefore no downtime. The treatments consist of three 15 – 30-minute sessions spaced one month apart.

ThermiVa treats the labia majora (camel toe), dryness (atrophy), stress incontinence (urinary leakage), shrinks the vaginal canal and treats mild prolapse.

The tightening results are immediately visible even after the first treatment and last between 9 months to a year and sometimes much longer. It is recommended that you come in for an annual treatment after the initial 3 treatments. Some patients have not required repeat treatment for incontinence and dryness for over 2 years now.
Please note: Thermiva vaginal tightening treatments are not the same as surgical labia reduction or surgical vaginal tightening, severe cases will still require surgery. ThermiVa is for women who do not want surgery, may not be a candidate for surgery, or are planning on having children in the future.
